Ares was not liked by the other Gods. During the Trojan war Ares found himself in a battle against Athena. He threw a spear at her. Defending herself she threw a big rock at him injuring him. With help from Aphrodite,his great love, he fled to Mount Olympus. Before allowing Paieon to help Ares with his wounds Zues scolded Ares for his actions.
